Calls for scholarship applications within the Swedish Institute Visby Programme > Apply for a Swedish Institute (SI) scholarship for studies or research in Sweden and contribute to the development of your home country.The Swedish Institute (SI) Baltic Sea Region Cooperation has the pleasure to announce that the application call for SI Visby Programme scholarships, the academic year 2017/2018 is now open.
The SI Visby Programme aims at building capacity in students, researchers and young professionals who have the ambition to play an active role in society and contribute to a positive development in the EU Eastern Partnership countries, Russia and the Baltic Sea region at large.

Students and teachers with knowledge of Swedish (at the least B1/B2 level) are welcome to apply for this new scholarship, for studies in any subject taught in Swedish at any Swedish university, for one or two semesters. Take the opportunity to invite a Swedish student, researcher, teacher or expert to spend 1 to 12 months in any of our partner countries. Applicants are required to submit an official invitation with their application. > SI Summer Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) 2017Do you want to build professional contact networks and develop your skills in transparent, efficient and sustainable public administration? Are you younger than 36 years old? Apply to the Swedish Institute’s leadership and training programme for the new generation of public officials!
The SI Summer Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) is a leadership programme, designed as a two-week intensive module where the aim is to network, exchange and build new knowledge of transparency, openness and innovation in public administration. SAYP requires excellent skills in English and is open to participants from Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Sweden and Ukraine belonging to any of the following categories:
- Public servants
- Policymakers
- Civil society workers
